Alima Sonne


I was born and raised in Manchester of a Ghanaian father and English mother. I am a feminist, mother of two children and grandmother of five grandchildren. I have a post graduate diploma in youth and community work and a have degree in

education studies.


For many years I worked as a community and youth worker. This included working for Oxfam as the national youth advisor/training officer. I was also Principal Youth Officer for Blackburn with Darwen local authority.


I am a member of Abasindi cooperative and I now work as a Dementia Advisor.
